How far back do grocery stores test for drugs in hair folicles?

I smoked weed about a week ago, and yes, I got high.
But since then, I hadn't smoked in about 1 year, but I used to smoke a lot before that (I got pregnant and stopped).

ive never heard of a grocery store doing anything like that. .. maybe a pharmacy within a grocery store. i mean geez, put cans underneath break and dont break the eggs. why would they need to drug test you

Buring pain in legs and hands?

I had back surgery in 1998 and had two rods placed in my lower back. I gave birth about 3 months ago. After giving birth I have had constant headachs, neck pain, jaw pain, burning feeling in my lower legs and hands. I have back pain really bad at night. SOmetimes the buring in my legs feels so hot that it hurts really bad. I did not have an epidural. I had a c-section but was put under. I did have gestaional diabetes but my blood levels are perfectly fine, I check them. Could this be nerve damage? Im just worried about the burning pain.

The pain you're feeling sounds like a peripheral neuropathy or sensory polyneuropathy. There are so many causes of this (of which diabetes is one, as you know), and when/if you do get a refferral to a neurologist, he'll ask a lot about the pain and where it is, and your medical history and any exposure to medications/poisons/drugs and try to make a diagnosis. Some people with this kind of pain have no abnormality that can be detected, and in some of those people, the cause may be related to psychological factors.

On a practical level, whilst you're waiting for a referral, you can use a cream with capsaicin in to reduce the burning/pain. The pharmacy may be able to give you axsain or zacin or something similar.

I'd be happy to look more closely at your case and try to determine the cause, but you'd need to post a lot more detail about the pain, timing, place, anything else, other symptoms, the surgery you had, the reason, what meds you're on etc etc (don't leave anything out....)

I am recently married and my new grandmother-in-law is a diabetic. I have always loved to cook and bake so we are hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Being my first with my new in-laws I want to make sure everyone enjoys the food. I need to find some good diabetic dessert recipes. I know I can just substitute artificial sweetener for sugar but sometimes that make things taste funny. Any ideas on where I can get recipes.

Mix orange jello with very hot water; stir until dissolved.
Add fruit juice from oranges and pineapple. Add
orange juice. Add Mandarin oranges and pineapple chunks; pour
in 9 x 12-inch size pan; refrigerate until set. Take pudding
mix; mix with milk until thick. Add at least 4 ounces Cool
Whip; spread over top of chilled jello. If lemon instant
pudding is not available, use vanilla with a little Real Lemon to

In blender,process yogurt on high speed for 30 seconds, add pudding

lemon juice. Arrange 2 banana quarters into each of 4 goblets or
dessert dishes, top with 1/4 pudding mixture. Sprinkle each portion
with 1/4 of the pistachios, then top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping and 1 cherry.

1 tb Sugar
1/3 c Ground almonds
2 1/2 c Fresh blueberries
2 ts Cornstarch
1/2 c Whipping cream
2 pk Sugar substitute
1/2 c Vanilla yogurt

Beat egg yolks and sugar until light. Add almonds.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold egg whites into egg
yolk mixture. Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with waxed
paper. Pour batter into the pan. Bake in a 325~ oven
for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool.
Cut into small squares.
To make blueberry sauce, puree 1/2 c blueberries in
a food processor or blender. Dissolve cornstarch in
cream. Cook cream, remaining blueberries, and
blueberry puree over low heat until thickened, about 5
minutes. Cool. Stir in sugar substitute. To serve,
line a serving dish with 1/2 of blueberry sauce;
arrange cake squares over blueberry sauce. Top with
remaining sauce. Spoon on yogurt. Serve immediately.
Yield: 6 each 1/2 cup servings.
Food exchanges per 1/2 cup serving: 1 skim milk + 2
fats.

How important is it to correct a change in my bite?

I recently began treatment for sleep apnea with a custom-fitted oral appliance - a mouth piece that I wear at night to pull my jaw forward. This has done an excellent job in preventing snoring, but has altered my bite. My dentist was very concerned by this, but the doctor that fitted the device (also a dentist) indicated that a change in bite is not serious - nothing more than an annoyance. The change in bite does not bother me, but I am afraid it will cause damage to my teeth down the road. Is this something that I should be concerened about? Do I need to get the bite corrected? I'm kind of in a bad situation where I have to choose between the effective treatment for sleep apnea, and the bite problem.

1stly, since the appliance was to protract your jaw, a change in bite shud`ve been predicted. u need to consult an orthodontist as well, regarding the new bite and whether is it leading to a malocclusion. in this case, all your teeth will be affected over time and change in their positions may occur.

also, a change in bite could lead to temporomandibular joint dysfunction, though the manifestation is not immediate which might cause ur dentist to overlook the bite change.

My 19 year old son has type 1 diabetes and had not been taking his insulin. I got involved and started him on a two hour testing with a sliding scale of insulin based on sugar readings. He has been having horrible pain in his feet and legs and there seems to be no way to relieve the pain. They especially hurt when he walks and has been using crutches and a walker to help out. His ketones were off of the chart, since he has no insurance the doctor worked with me to get those down and now he is doing better, but his feet still hurt a lot and he is taking pain medications, but the doctor only wants him to take one every 5 to 6 hours so he really doesn't get total relief. It's very difficult to just stand by and not be able to help him get any relief. I know getting his sugars consistent in normal range will help, but we ned some ideas until it's been long enough. He's still running up a little high before 7am when his lantus is due.

Being a diabetic, your son is prone for foot problems as well as eye, and kidney. He may have pins and needles sensations or sharp pains in his feet, if his legs swell, that is an early indication of renal problems. You should make sure that he gets a BUN and Creatnine with 24 hr urine clearance. He also needs to see a Diabetic foot specialist. I don't recommend you change his insulin without the consent of an M.D. as the physicians assistant says, although I believe she is qualified, but does not know his history. You don't want his insulin to go too low in his sleep that sometimes cause comas.
