family friend who is deathly ill (diabetes).. is it possible for Nick Jonas to visit her?
i have a family friend named marissa. recently, she went into diabetic shock and was in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks. when her parents found her, she was having a seizure. it was very scary for her and her family and she is very luck to be alive. she is still learning how to stick her finger everyday and all that.. i just feel really bad for her. she feels like there is no hope. i am writing a letter to nick jonas (shes head over heels for the jonas bros lol) because i wanted to see if he could meet her, or even just send her a letter or something to just give the kid hope and put a smile on her face. where do i send the letter? also, a friend recommended that i post a video on youtube, but i just dont know. please help!! thank you soo much!! 
Well. There are several ways to approach this. You could try contacting the Make-A-Wish foundation. You can tell them your story, most likely by sending it to them via letter or email. They might even have a phone number. They give ill individuals a chance to have their greatest wish despite their illness. You could also try writing a letter or emailing the record company, I don't know how well this would work. It may work well. I can't promise a visit from the band, but perhaps a letter or a picture with all of their signitures on it. You could also try contacting Disney about it. There are many ways, these are just a few. diabetes thirst question?
i had dry mouth 2 weeks ago and b4 that i have leg pain...miscle /bone pain and a weekafter the dry mouth i got left eye burning watery pain..both the ye and the dry mouth and the leg pain went away after 1-2 days....i didnt feel thirsty back then or now(just not enough saliva) now 3 days back i have some leg pain again but it was like aching pain but in the knee joint areaonly left leg...i also checked my weight and it is exactly the same as before im 16 neither my mom or dad have diabetes...now i have no symptoms left..i have some other medical issue (private)..but am worriedim am 16 fit..about 6 feet tall and weight 65 kg around 110 pounds(i think)and am athletic..
and I am wondering what u think and --do diabetics get thirt all the time or does it come and go

the only thing I can think of is that the extreme thirst could be caused by high blood sugar levels IF it is indeed diabetes. Even some medications cause a dry mouth though, obviously its a good thing you are going to the doctor...

Diabetic cookie recipes?
I used to love baking cookies for my Mom and Dad. Cookies are a fun gift to give to people. However, my father, who is physically disabled, an invalid, and severely overweight, was recently diagnosed with type two diabetes. On the side, my Mom, who works, but is also overweight, was deemed "At risk" of the same thing. Now they're both on a diabetic diet.
So, what I'd really be interested in right now are diabetic cookie recipes. I'd really love to hear about some that you all have tried and actually liked, but anything you've just heard of would be appreciated, too. And, if there's any sort of chocolate chip cookie recipe that's safe for diabetics, my Dad would be very happy. Thank you! =)

My mom's boyfriend is type 1 diabetic and he wont wear a medical alert bracelet because he thinks theyre too feminine. I don't want anything to happen to the first decent guy she found in 50 years so I want to give him one as a present when we move in with him on the 27.
