I have red hair and VERY fair skin. When I tan indoors I have a difficult time getting started. Why did I fail the drug test!!! What can I do?

I am on Probation for a non drug related offense. During my check in to the P.O. he had me take a drug test. He used a dip stick, and it came back positive for Methamphetamine, and Cocaine. WHAT!!! He locked me in jail on the spot. I have a prescription to Adderall, but had not used any cocaine. Two days prior I had started using Orajel(Benzocaine) on a painful tooth that had broken in half and half had come out. I was using extreme amounts(a full bottle of liquid and a tube of gel). And the night before drank a bottle of Magn.Citrate. I was bonded the next day and got a urine & blood test done. Both were Neg. for Cocaine. and Pos. for Amphetamine. What can I do about the Violation. I am looking at 9+months if probation gets revoked.

I don't know about the cocaine, but I can say that the reason you tested positive for amphetamines is because you're taking them - what do you think adderall is? I think your best bet is to get your prescription and point out that this is what is most likely causing your positive result for amphetamine, I'm not sure why you had a positive for cocaine though.
Often you can also ask for a serum drug test, which may be more accurate, or a more accurate method than a dip-stick.
That's really more of a legal question though, so your best bet is to talk to a lawyer, and soon, failing a drug test is a serious thing, you want to get that cleared up pronto.
