diabetic neuropoathy in feet-- treatment?

Specifically, what medications can help with extreame pain in the feet (burning) from Diabetic neuropathy. I have tried the anti-seziure and anti-depresants without much help. What else?

I am not certain there is much that can be done for your pain and burning of your diabetic neuropathy. I have had diabetic neuropathy in my left outer leg and over the top of my left foot since 1996. Have you ever tried the anti-depressant called Cymbalta? I had this drug for awhile myself and it helped me out a little.

Other than that, there really isn't much that can be done for it. Talk to your doctor about it and see what he or she may have to offer. Continue to monitor your eating and checking your blood sugar often. This may prevent further neurapathies from happening.

Am I a diabetic?

Type 1 diabetes runs in my family (2 uncles). I've been sick for about a month: extreme fatigue, headaches, nausea, dizziness, irritability. I also feel feverish frequently. At first i thought I was pregnant, but tested negative. I had a very short (2days) period as well. Today I noticed that my urine smells very strong; I almost can't stand to smell in myself! Do you think I'm diabetic, or is there another ailment with similar symptoms?

I would recommend to go see a doctor and have some blood work done. They even may take a urine sample Diabetes can run in the family. Some of the symptons you are experiencing are diabetes related.

Do DUI blood tests test for THC?

So I just got a DUI the other night in Scottsdale Arizona. I was celebrating my friend coming home after not seeing him for a while. We decided to smoke some pot and then go to the bar. Well I got pulled over a few hours later, and when they took me to the station they had my blood drawn. I haven't smoked weed in months prior to this so I'm a little worried. Will The marijuana show up in my blood test? Will they even look for it?

They certainly can test for THC if so directed.

However, if you had not smoked in months, there would not be a problem. However, blood and urine readings would readily show if you smoked cannabis within hours, which in turn would be fairly easily inferred that you were under the influence of both alcohol (a legal substance, if illegally used) and cannabis (an illegal substance outright in most states unless under a medical prescription).

THC will show up as metabolites in the urine fairly readily after smoking cannabis, because the liver begins to metabolize the molecules immediately, breaking the molecules down and then casting them through the bladder. Parts per volume can be determined and then inferred as to how recent the cannabis was smoked.

Still being discerned by medical science labs and law enforcement is just what would constitute a dangerous and inebriating level of cannabis consumption when behind the wheel, as is already set for a person regarding alcohol consumption.

Your concern is now with both because you smoked cannabis within only two or so hours before being pulled over by the police, which can be picked up in the urine and the blood. And in conjunction with the alcohol, the authorities may take into account both factors in the DUI.

Your alcohol gradient is the primary factor, however, not the cannabis.

What are your experiences with clear blue easy pregnancy tests?

I would like to know peoples experiences using this test. I just took two, one test didn't work at all... no control color change no result line. The second one came up negative but only after a little over ten minutes. The instructions say results appear in two minutes. I am so confused and want to see if anyone has had false results with this test.

All my experience with the Clear Blue brand pregnancy tests have been very accurate... both with negative and positive results. Its very possible the tests you got were just defective. Because a result whether negative or positive should not have taken ten minutes to show up.

best needles for diabetic dogs?

hi there. our dog has diabetes and we administer vetsulin every day. i noticed that some of the 'generic' syringes (ie. Ulti care and vet choice) are a lot cheaper. Does anyone have experience with these? Does your dog tolerate them as well as the official Vetsulin ones? THanks!

the brand of needle doesn't matter at all, a needle is a needle- just make sure that you get sterile ones (there are federal guidelines). Not all needle brands are sterilized (most are, however). Just get the same numbers- I am assuming you are on a 22 or 24 size 1/2" or 1" needle, just keep with that size and you will be fine.
Other things to look into- there are the push in ones, and the ones with the luer locks. I prefer luer locks, but if your dog sits nicely for the shot, the push-in ones are cheaper, and effective.

I can not tell you what brand of needles I use, I get them by the box from fleet farm, so I am assuming a generic brand.
