Mild Diabetes?
Hi,
I did sugar test last week and my sugar level for 163 when no food taken for 12 hrs. Doctor wanted 2nd test and my HEMOGLOBIN A1C results were 9.1(normal range 4.5-6.0 % )
Doctor says I have mild diabetes. I am only 33 years old. This happened because I was eating more sweets. Can I become normal again ?
You will become normal again by pranayam.Do it and you will believe it. Keep doing the test.
These pranayam exercises will help control the diabetes and the side effects.Build up the timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume later. The benefits will be noticed in weeks as the sugar level is checked daily.Over the long tern the diabetes will be in full control and the medicine can be reduced in consultation with the doctor.

Important Health Issue-Dr vs No Dr?
Can anyone provide me with good links to Non-doctor studies/research done on how well an older person would do when educated about health and life elongation versus monthly or quarterly visits to doctors and taking 8 to 10 constantly changing prescriptions daily for age and hereditary illness like pre-diabetes, "a little high" cholesterol, med controlled blood pressure and depression.
(I'm sick of doctors and pills and want to break away and do it on my own-without supplements.) I'm 55 yr old and my doctor does not have my previous medical history and wouldn't look at it if she did.
First, let me say that if I had a doctor like that, I would not have him or her for long.
Second, let me warn you about the website I am sending you. It tells me I have but 2 years to live. Not a good prospect if true.
What this website does is calculate your 'real age' vs your chronological age based upon things like smoking, cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and yes, even if your sex.
The nice part is you can add or take away various variables and see how it effects your life. Just do not let this scare you to death.
I hope this helps and is what you were looking for.

Expected systolic/diastolic differential range for a healthy individual?
Target blood pressure measurements are often given as 120/80 for a healthy individual. ie a delta of 40. Are delta measurements
useful to diagnostics and, if so,what are the expected max/min deltas for a healthy individual?
I don't think you should be doing this on the Internet you should go and see your Dr get it measured and take their advice about what would be acceptable for your personal circumstances, age and sex
The systolic and diastolic ranges of acceptable change with age, it goes up to allow for stiffening of the arteries, the acceptable systolic ranges are usually quoted as 90 between 135 and diastolic between 50 and 90 mm
I was told the most important figure is the systolic and not the difference between the two. The systolic represents the peak of the stress to the artery walls when the blood is being forced out and around the system and this is when you are most likley to get a "burst in the pipe" ie a stroke / heart attack if the artery fails

What the doctor have called me back if I was at risk of diabetes?
I went for a general blood test a couple of weeks back and the results, and my mum told me that they said the results were clear and that essentially, my blood sugar level was low therefore they didn't need to call me back in to get tested for diabetes. So I'm just wondering if this means I definately don't have diabetes. Because I have many of the symptoms for type 2 diabetes which is fairly odd as I'm 17, male. :L
I got tingling in my hands and feet, I often get a dry mouth, I frequently get fatique, and my vision is very blurry. And occasionally at night I need the toilet quite alot.
What should I do?
Not necessarily. Doctors do have some discretion regarding how they interpret the results of your blood work.
For example, my mother had pre-diabetic fasting blood sugar years ago, but her doctor never told her that she was pre-diabetic. In fact, her doctor didn't mention her blood sugar at all. Only after looking at her own lab results later at home did she see that she had pre-diabetic fasting blood sugar and so then worked on a diet plan to lose weight.
Ask for a copy of your lab results and then if you're unsure what they mean, ask here on Yahoo Answers. There are lots of people here who can help you interpret them.

Parents, would you let your teen stay home from school if he were having a difficult time with classmates?
Over the past week, I've been having a really difficult time at school. People have been extremely mean to me, nobody is talking to me, nor does anyone want to have anything to do with me ever since I tried committing suicide, and I'm just really depressed. People have been calling me a monster, they say mean things to me in the halls, and this one girl says mean things to my face, saying that I give our school a bad name, and everyone would be better off IF I did kill myself. She also says that if my mother -- who died when I was nine -- were still alive, I wouldn't be such a fuhk-up. I want to ask my dad if I can stay home from school tomorrow, because I've been having a really difficult time there lately, and it's making me really depressed. I'm worried he'll say no, because he makes me go to school even if I'm really sick. Would you let your teen son go to school, even if these things were happening to him...?
If you tried to commit suicide and your dad isn't trying to get you the help you need by forcing you to go back to school then you need to seek someones help elsewhere.
Do you have a counselor or any other adult you can talk to and tell them how you feel?
Someone who is emotionally drained by your problem should be given plenty of attention and help by those who know how to help you.
As for this child who tells you things about your mother when she has no idea who your mother was is not important to you. Do your best to ignore her and keep trying to talk with whoever you want to. Do your absolute best to smile and take it one day at a time as you try to build your life in a positive way.
You are special because our creator said so. You must believe that. Make your dreams a reality by working to overcome your depression.
You must seek counseling from those who are skilled in helping people with thoughts of depression and suicide. There are suicide and depression hotline numbers and I urge you to call them. I know they can help you. Please do so.
You will be ok but you have to believe this. God bless you and yours.
